For me, being an interior designer was something I wanted to be involved in my whole life. I knew I had a love for it, but at one part of my life, I thought real estate was the path I was going on. Working at REMAX Real Estate for three years, I’ve learned a lot of great skills that will benefit me in the long term, but I knew I didn’t love it as much as interior design. I worked with a local interior designer, Helena Ventrella, for a couple of months to gain deeper knowledge of an interior design firm. I enjoyed my whole experience and gained a true vision of what I wanted my future to look like. From floor plans to sketching/rendering, to picking out materials, presenting the final project, it was a process I was so interested in. Being a successful interior designer is focusing on the bigger picture as much as the details. Balancing the details while still keeping their eyes on the big picture. Perfection is a series of small things done really well, and I design around that. Visualizing a space at its worst and seeing it as a positive takes my creativity and turns it into something real, something functional and aesthetically beautiful.
